Living Loud because People Matter by Gretchen Reese
Styling graphic t-shirts and hoodies can be fun. You can dress them up or down, and if you are anything like me – they are a staple in your wardrobe. I love how statement graphics can really change your look, and give an outfit a serious wow-factor. I put together two looks with different styles of graphic shirts, one casual and one smart-daywear, to give some inspiration on different ways to style the options you have in your wardrobe.
The first look that I put together is very casual, and perfect for running errands throughout the day, or if you need a pairing to get ready quickly in the morning. For a more casual setting, I love wearing the ‘People Matter Unite’ long-sleeved hoodie. It’s extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear on the go. One of my favorite aspects of this hoodie is the stark contrast between the white graphic design and the charcoal grey color of the hoodie itself. It adds interest and simple details to a comfortable look. To go with the hoodie, I added my favorite pair of distressed black denim – I like how the rips in the knees keep the ensemble casual while still looking put together. The best part about this styling is that with a black sneaker it’s very easy to put on in a pinch.
The second look that I’ve put together is for a day that maybe you’re going to lunch with some friends, or you may want to look a little more put together. I love the graphic on this t-shirt, because it’s simple, but still makes a statement with two stand-out colours. The v-neck shirt I’m wearing in this outfit is the ‘Live Loud’ t-shirt, for which $7.00 of each sale goes to the Autism Research Foundation. Paired with this t-shirt is the same distressed black denim, which keeps this look daytime appropriate. Over top of this look, I’ve added a fitted blazer to add a touch of sophistication and tailoring. Put on some leather ankle boots, and this look is perfect for a day in the city, lunch with friends, or even an early dinner as well.
I hope you found some inspiration in these looks that I’ve put together for you – if you try out any of these looks, make sure to tag Sevenly on social media!
