Why Patriots Make Memorial Day Count, With Gratitude
Men and women lay down their lives every day to protect our freedoms and to keep us safe. Liberty and justice come at great cost. They’re not cheap. We’re in the midst of what has been called one of the longer wars in history, against those who are enemies of freedom.
Those in the fight, whether at home or abroad, need our support. And those who risk everything, including their own lives, need care when they are wounded.
What can we do to help? For members of the military who are recovering, there’s nothing like having family and loved ones near. But that is not affordable for most families.
Fisher House offers a solution. Founded by Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher in 1991, Fisher House provides comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. Because fighting for our country and putting your life on the line should not include heavy financial burdens.
Sevenly’s Patriot Collection honors the brave men and women who fight for freedom every day. There is “Americana” art featured, but art that will appeal to Freedom’s Patriots abroad as well. Check it out. Each purchase helps to bring families together and brings peace of mind during a medical crisis for someone in recovery, through our pledge to Fisher House.
As Memorial Day approaches, the words of John F. Kennedy offer us all a challenge: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!”
