So The World May Hear, For the First Time!

So The World May Hear, For the First Time!

We dare you not to smile at the site of this little boy hearing for the first time!

We dare you not to cry when you watch this video, with singer and songwriter Matt Nathanson....

The reason is because these are the moments when people are given the gift of hearing for the first time -- when people no longer live in silence and solitude.

Starkey Hearing Foundation is on a mission, "so the world may hear," because they know that the gift of hearing not only blesses the individual -- it also blesses families and communities.  It changes the world, one person at a time.

Unfortunately, there are millions of people living in a silent world who do not have the means to change that. Can you imagine how hard it must be to connect to others, when you cannot hear them? Gaining the ability to hear, which so many of us take for granted, allows people to have a job, provide for themselves and others, and relate to others and the world around them.

To help celebrate Better Hearing Month (in May), Starkey Hearing Foundation has partnered with GoodXChange, so that by simply sharing this story to your favorite social channel with the hashtag #GiftofHearing, you can help Starkey Hearing Foundation raise $75,000 for their next global Hearing Mission! Learn more about GoodX and the story behind smiles like these by going to bit.ly/goodx_starkey.

The Foundation has also partnered with Sevenly to create the So the World May Hear Collection of apparel and accessories that enable people like you to wear and share the story.  Check it out here (to help people hear).

Let's work together to make the world better for someone -- by trading our simple actions for good through a "good exchanges," or by #wearingyourstory.

Or, by doing both.  : )
