Solo Hope Restores Hope for Artisan Women in Honduras

Solo Hope Restores Hope for Artisan Women in Honduras

SoloHope began with one mission in mind: renew hope. After travelling many years to Honduras, Emilee {SoloHope founder} began to realize how poverty makes you think you don’t have a choice but hope allows you see the opportunities around you. With this in mind, SoloHope launched working with women overcoming poverty to create bracelets (which has since expanded into other products) from pine needles and thread in 2012.

Over time, we began to see our mission come to fruition—hope renewed in the lives of the women with which we had partnered. This was confirmed in the biggest way when in 2015, the women surprised our founder by purchasing a piece of land for our future SoloHope HQ in Honduras. Women who once were unsure how they would purchase basic necessities or send their children to school had taken ownership of their work and were looking ahead to the future by saving their money to purchase a piece of land that will soon be the home of SoloHope HQ in Honduras.

Hope is a powerful thing that has the ability to help us believe even the impossible can be possible. We feel it a privilege to partner with such amazing, talented, and determined women. They are our inspiration and our heroes. They are SoloHope.
