The Global "Cause Art" Movement by Vanessa in Dallas

Giving back to a cause is within my DNA. I have worked for 2 non-profit organizations and have witnessed all the in's and out's of what structures a non-profit. I remember the days I would work with my team, trying to be innovative on coming up with ideas to add to our programs in order to expand the message to our community. At the end of the year, we would crack down on data and numbers to create a report and submit, in hopes to get accepted once again for funding the following year. In addition to working with non-profit organizations, my experience with the most impact, was my internship abroad in 2012 to Bolivia in South America. Being in a third-world country (and my first abroad experience), is unlike anything I have ever experienced.

I am very fortunate to see the work that goes behind a charity organization, as well as being able to meet in-person the people that they impact.

With the kids in the community of Cochabamba, Bolivia. I accompanied the Salvation Army to educate mothers on different topics related to health and well-being. I will never forget this moment! It is a truly humbling experience.

The least that we can do a few times a year is to give back in some way shape or form. Some people volunteer their time, others donate.

I currently work a full time job, and blog part time (sometimes it feels full time though) so my time to volunteer is not always available. My resolution this year was to collaborate with more organizations that give back to causes to shine some light on the good they provide to help people. It is my personal way of giving back as well :)

Sevenly is a non-profit organization that dedicates it's causes to ALL PEOPLE. Which is why they provide a vast amount of causes so they are able to target more groups that are in need. I absolutely love everything that they stand for!

Thank you for reading and I'd love to hear your thoughts and/or experiences :)
