Social Enterprises Band Together to Support World Water Day

There’s one basic human need that, when met, sparks prosperity and productivity faster than any other single fix: access to clean, safe water. Each year dirty water kills more people than war, AIDS, and famine combined. There are currently 663 million people in the world that do not have access to clean drinking water. Together, we are on a mission to change that.

Sevenly, Cause Roast, The Created Co., Numi Tea, and Generosity Water have come together in celebration of World Water Day and created a gift box of cause-driven products benefitting Blood Water Mission, and raising awareness of the Global Water Crisis. Each Water Box sold will provide one month of clean water for two people.

Blood Water Mission partners with Africa’s hidden heroes to provide technical, financial, and organizational support to strengthen their reach and effectiveness in the communities they serve. This is carried out through water, sanitation and hygiene, HIV/AIDS medical care, and capacity building.

“In Africa alone, women spend an average of 40 billion hours a year walking to collect dirty water.  Access to clean water gives communities more time to grow food, earn an income, and go to school -- all of which fight poverty. That's why providing water access is the first step to creating lasting change around the world... until no one has to drink dirty water,” says CEO of Cause Roast, Greg Pittman.

Clean water can prevent unnecessary deaths, save time, and improve health. It enables people to be energetic members of society and escape the cycle of poverty. Water is essential to every part of life—health, economic growth, access to education, and equality for women and children. #BecausePeopleMatter
