A Date in Miami

There is more beyond South Beach

If you ever find yourself in Miami with a perfect date but have no idea where to take them because the only things you know about the city are crazy parties, clubs that close at 1 pm (the next day), overpriced restaurants, and crowded beaches. I'm here to help and tell you there is more beyond South Beach and its insane nightlife. This day will not only impress your date, but it will also show you a beautiful side of the city. Miami is vibrant and colorful, a melting pot of diverse cultures. When you come to this city, you'll feel like you just traveled to a different country full of beautiful people.

You'll start early, the idea is to make the most out of your day. First, drive to Hialeah Gardens for brunch at BreadMan - This delicious local bakery opened in 2015, and they have been making the most incredible Latin pastries and bread ever since. I recommend trying the corn Tequeños.

After brunch, take some time to enjoy nature, head over to Coral Gables and stop by at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. This place is magical, be sure to visit the butterfly exhibit for a little romantic moment.

After connecting with nature and your date, you'll probably get a little thirsty so head to Miami Beach for happy hour at Broken Shaker, a fantastic cocktail bar inside the Freehand Hotel.

Once the night starts, make your way to Casa Tua for dinner (just a mile away from Broken Shaker). If you are up for some fun, be sure to stick around, as the restaurant turns into a party later in the night.

Now you have no excuses to plan a perfect date! and if you are lucky enough to get a second, here are some other areas you should check out.

In Little Havana, you can experience traditional Cuban cuisine and culture. Calle Ocho is full of delicious restaurants and local shops. In Little Haiti, you can indulge in authentic Haitian cuisine, explore the vibrant art scene and shop for souvenirs. For a more upscale experience, visit the Design District, home to high-end shops and restaurants. The Wynwood Arts District is another popular neighborhood for street art, trendy restaurants, bars, and food trucks. For a more intimate setting visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a stunning estate with gorgeous gardens and breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay.

Enjoy!
