Sorry, But the Big Red Boots Are Back… in Yellow
They're also Crocs...
Following the viral Big Red Boot drop, wavy Vans-esque sneakers, and microscopic Louis Vuitton bag, MSCHF is back with another silly-ass drop that’s bound to be everywhere.
This time around the brand is back with a primary yellow take on its oversized boot made in partnership with Crocs. (Naturally, the design features Crocs-style cutouts and a heel strap.)
Estonian artist TOMM¥ €A$H had the honor of being the first to don the collaborative silhouette during Paris Fashion Week while dressed as a mime with a striped tee and yellow suspenders, because of course. He sported the look on the front row of the recent Rick Owens runway presentation, mock crying the entire time.
TOMM¥ modeled the boots in a very phallic Parisian photo shoot, holding an extremely long baguette and posing holding the Eiffel Tower as well. (He’s also riding a penny farthing in one of the shots. I can’t make this up.)
Crocs entered the chat by commenting on TOMM¥’s image writing, “I-.” A very cute way to neither confirm or deny of the partnership will ever see a general release. They also reposted a carousel of the campaign imagery with a simple side-eye emoji. The brand obviously opted not to post the Eiffel Tower image, probs a bit too frisky for the feed.
While no official information has been released, it’s safe to say MSCHF’s objective has already been achieved. As more of a creative entity than a fashion brand, MSCHF succeeds by getting people clicking, tapping, and talking. Once again, they’ve outdone themselves and as one of the few risk-takers on the scene, we’ll all be waiting to see their next viral drop. No one trolls like MSCHF, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Stay tuned for official release info, imagery, and pricing. Drop a comment if you’d wear these and how they stack up to the original red pair.
