So You Finally Moved Into Your Own Place...Now What?

Whirlwindbound

Housewarming party of course.

Okay, I lied. I can't relate.

Hi, it's me, Rach! I am twenty-eight years old and still trying to make it out here on my own. I'm Not technically succeeding, but fortunately, I don't yet belong to the streets!

Since we've --we, as in me and my best friend J9-- moved to Sydney, we've been lucky enough to have two generous friends who let us stay at theirs at the lowest possible price you could think of. I'm talking dirt cheap. While we've been incredibly grateful, you can imagine how it feels for me to be sitting here in our third temporary home in six months.

To spice things up a little, we decided to throw a party once we moved into our third temporary home! It made us feel like this place was our own, and it was amazing to see what we could accomplish with the help of our friends.

So if you've recently moved into a temporary home or snagged a neat place to call your own, why not throw a themed housewarming party?

Here are a few cute ideas that are circulating social media atm,

1. Garden-themed party

2. Dressing up as your favorite era--90s perhaps.

3. Barbiecore aesthetic

4. A party based on anything you love.

For us, we planned our party for midday, asked our guests to wear semi-formal attire to make it festive and classy, and used as many cheeseboards as we could find for a cute aesthetic.

Below is my account of how things went.

theme enormously!! theme enormously!!

These days, we don't need a reason to throw a party! So giving our party a theme, taking cute pictures, and documenting the night was a great way to make it memorable and fun!

If you've thrown a themed housewarming party recently, how did it go, and what theme did you choose?

Just a bit of the decor and the dancing!
