Jordan Brand merges fan-favorite silhouettes in warm weather-ready colorways for its summer collection. All in, the offering is pretty strong. Standouts include the return of the Air Jordan 14 "Laney," a model dedicated to Michael Jordan's high school last seen as a low cut in 2015, and a "Vibrations of Naija" AJ1 decked out with woven textile panels.

Using only my personal taste (which I find exquisite) and an unabashed bias toward classics, I've ranked the Air Jordan Summer 2023 collection. Keep scrolling for the results.

19. Air Jordan 6 "Toro"

A favorite silhouette, but monochrome red shoes conjure up a very 2014 setting in my mind. Post Yeezy Red October every sneaker got the all-red treatment. It was a lot.

18. Air Jordan 4 “Thunder”

Inspired by MJ's motorcycle team circa 2006. If you don't yet own a pair of 4s, this wouldn't be the pair I'd suggest — Bred or Fire Red are a good place to start. (See, my bias is showing.)

17. Air Jordan 11 "Yellow Snakeskin"

I'd rebuy the pink version before opting for the yellow, but to each his own.

16. Air Jordan 2 Low: “Atmosphere”

This one's for the girls who like to do sneakers with dresses, or for the men of Miami who love a pastel low-top.

15. Air Jordan 5 “Light Orewood Brown”

The texture is the draw here for me. I can see it going really luxe with a similar hairy suede bag.

14. Air Jordan 13 “Black Flint”

I see it with a travel fit, fresh sweatsuit, or a slouch sock and tennis skirt situation. Not an absolute need, but not bad either.

13. Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Elephant Print”

If these instantly reminded you of the atmos SB Dunk that dropped in 2020, I'd suggest getting those instead. The price is low on resale sites and they have a little more panache.

12. Air Jordan 1 “Atmosphere”

At this point Atmosphere pink has landed on multiple Nike and Jordan models, but the suede here takes the bubblegum shade up a notch, makes it a little less girly and more luxe.

11. Air Jordan 11 Low “Cement Grey”

Come on — classic, clean and crisp.

10. Air Jordan 1 Low OG EX “Sail”

Yes, the exposed foam will always be associated with Virgil Abloh's sneaker designs, but I think these use the effect without giving "diffusion line."

9. Air Jordan 2 Low “Cherrywood”

While maroon and burgundy are a personal least favorite color, on this leather/suede AJ2 it gives collegiate and cute.

8. Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green”

There's no shortage of green/black/white AJ1s, but this "Black Toe" inspired makeup is ::chef's kiss::

7. Air Jordan 1 “Washed Black”

Personal bias is coming in strong with these. Easy to style, grown-up looking, and the hit of red on the tongue branding is sexyyy.

6. Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Green”

Look, if you've never owned an AJ3 and you have wide feet, you hustlin' backwards.

5. Air Jordan 2 “Neutral Grey”

Hi it's me, personal bias. Grey all day, sorry guys.

4. Air Jordan 14 “Laney”

A classic is back and if you're building a collection, this is one of the best 14 colorways out there. (The Ginger colorway would take the top spot, though.)

3. Air Jordan 3 “Wizards”

An obvious ode to Jordan's time on the Wizards, but whether you knew that or not, let's just appreciate this tumbled leather and this sensational shade of blue.

2. Air Jordan 7 “Infrared”

A beloved colorway that debuted in 1991 set to return June 30th. Mark your calendars, these might be a difficult cop.

1. Air Jordan 1 “Vibrations Of Naija”

This AJ1 is inspired by Nigeria and done tastefully with tumbled leather and a blend of white/off-white/aged white hues. As the kids say — 😮‍💨.
